Missouri Member Meetups Double Expectations

Missouri Member Meetups Double Expectations

For the last two weeks, MoCannTrade hosted an open invite to our Leadership Council member meetups in STL, KC and SPR and every city delivered!  Each event featured overwhelming attendance (twice expected at each) and very eager industry participants ready to get informed, educated and connected with Missouri’s MMJ industry.

Leadership Council member meetups occur monthly and provide an excellent, localized forum for learning about Missouri’s medical cannabis industry.  The meetups also provide timely program updates, key insights via thought leader presentations and serve as official feedback mechanism for ideas, thoughts or concerns from members up through association leadership and our lobbying representation at state. Leadership Council meetings take their cues from the MoCannTrade Board of Directors, chairs, sub-committees, General Counsel and Executive Director.

STL: Featured MoCannTrade”s board of directors and members in an informal meet and greet with over 150 industry advocates at UCBC.  Next month’s STL meetup features three industry relevant presentations and leadership by board co-chair John Curtis and board member Michael Hill.

KC:  Featured a warm intro by board members Jack Mitchell, Josh Mitchem and Executive Director – Andrew Mullins along with three very engaging presentations including a look at IT and Security by David Odell | Summit Computer Solutions, an MMJ business and policy overview by Rebecca Gasca | Pistil + Stigma as well as insightful industry remarks from former US Attorney Barry Grissom | Electrum Partners

SPR:  Featured a warm intro by Government Affairs committee member Chip Sheppard, an intro to MoCannTrade by Executive Director – Andrew Mullins along with engaging presentations including a look at IT and Site Security by Kevin Ellison | CST Solutions and industry guidance from attorney and MMJ consultant Cindy Northcutt | Agrios Global.

A MoCannTrade member in attendance (KC Attorney – Paul Anderson) did a great job of capturing the information shared at the KC event and posted to his blog here.

For those looking for more information about entering the industry or the slides from Andrew’s presentation, we’ve posted a video and presentation from a previous event to the MoCannTrade website for your viewing.
