Erik Hackett is an accomplished professional with a successful journey in the cannabis industry. Beginning as a part-time budtender, he quickly advanced through the ranks, eventually becoming General Manager after serving as the Director of Recreational Sales. During his tenure, Erik played a significant role in Illinois' transition from medical to recreational cannabis, contributing as a valuable member of the team. Erik's impact extended beyond the sales arena. Notably, he collaborated with a local municipality in central Illinois, pioneering a groundbreaking process that allowed the state's first legal open consumption event known as "Cannabis Camp."
Erik's commitment to advancing the industry further led him to serve on an advisory committee for Illinois Central College, where he was instrumental in creating the first accredited certificate program for "Dispensary Agent Training," a course he also taught as an adjunct professor. Before establishing his presence in the cannabis sector, Erik garnered diverse experiences across various industries. He managed a multi-state territory for the American Red Cross, delved into television marketing, and skillfully oversaw operations at a local fence company for six years. Additionally, he contributed his talents to a large multi-state commercial cleaning company. Currently, as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Green Releaf dispensaries, Erik deftly manages the operations of seven dispensaries across Missouri. His vast knowledge, coupled with his hands-on experience, enables him to make significant contributions to the growth and success of the cannabis industry.
