Medical Cannabis: A Practical Primer for Healthcare Professionals
Last week, MoCannTrade’s Healthcare Education and Training committee presented their medical cannabis industry primer for doctors and practitioners, providing a broad overview of medical cannabis as medicine as well as physician responsibilities and legal protections provided by Amendment 2, which is now law. The presentation was led by MoCannTrade board members Dr. Kyle Ostrom MD FACP and Dr. Trish Hurford MD / MS. The event drew quite a crowd, filling the Havana Room at Venture Cafe. The 45-minute presentation was followed by a robust Q&A from the practitioners in attendance.
The Healthcare Education and Training committee will be traveling across the state to provide insight into the benefits of medical cannabis and how Amendment 2 / Article XIV will impact the healthcare industry. Future MoCannTrade educational events will be posted on our homepage.
