MoCann Q1 Industry Leader | Owner Gathering

PAC Fundraiser and Lobby Day

Monday March 6th 2023  5:00pm-8:30pm

DoubleTree Hotel & Conference Center Jefferson City

Q1 Event Overview:

In lieu of our traditional meetup format, our Q1 event shifts its focus toward bringing together industry owners/leaders with Missouri legislators at a celeb driven PAC fundraiser event and lobby day outing the following day.

MoCann members, owners, stakeholders and our legislative guests will hear from prominent sports figures and physicians working to highlight the importance, efficacy and normalization of cannabis in sports and sports medicine.

How Do I Attend & Support

MoCann members can register to attend both the PAC Fundraiser Gathering and Lobby Day breakfast by confirming a $1000 per attendee minimum contribution.  By registering, you are confirming your commitment to contribute to our PAC regardless if you are able to attend in person.  .

MoCannTrade’s PAC supports the candidates and causes critical to the cannabis industry and has successfully navigated the last four legislative sessions with no detrimental legislation passed.

Bringing Our Adult Use Industry Together:

The PAC Fundraiser event promises plenty of opportunity to network and catch up with your industry peers; meet our panelists, Missouri’s legislative leaders and new DCR Director Amy Moore in a casual environment including food and drink. Immediately following, the Missouri Times is hosting a private industry after party and MoLeg mixer at the nearby Missouri Times speakeasy.

Registration and donation info provided via email directly to MoCann members.

Q1 PAC Fundraiser Roundtable Discussion:

Cannabis in Professional Sports

The use of cannabis by athletes has been banned by many sports commissions and leagues. However, some are relaxing their policies as societal attitudes towards its use have shifted. Calls for eliminating cannabis testing in professional sports have come from the perspective of mental health, injury rehab, better pain management, reducing usage of opioids and treatment for concussions.

MoCann Board Chair and longtime Medical Research advocate Dena Ladd will lead a roundtable discussion with medical experts and professional athletes working to elevate cannabis as a viable treatment and therapeutic in sports.

Cannabis in Professional Sports Roundtable Panel:

  • Moderator: MoCannTrade Board Chair - Dena Ladd
  • Bluetail Medical Dr. Matt Bayes MD & Hurford Medical Dr. Trish Hurford MD MS
  • NHL:  NHL Alumni Chairman, St. Louis Blue - Kelly Chase with NHL Hall of Famer, All Star, Stanley Cup Winner and St. Louis Blue - Brett Hull
  • NFL: Neuro XPF, RevenantMJ.com, Gridiron Greats Board Member, NFL All Pro, Kansas City Chief & St. Louis Ram - Kyle Turley
