Ballot Initiatives

Currently, there are three organizations working to introduce a medical cannabis initiative on the November 6th, 2018 Missouri ballot. All three of these petitions have met the May 6th, 2018 deadline for gathering signatures and await state certification with the goal of qualifying for the ballot. In anticipation of the successful inclusion of one or more of these medical cannabis legalization initiatives, MoCannTrade was established to serve as the voice of business and trade for this quickly emerging industry.  

MoCannTrade supports any initiative resulting in safe, responsible, patient-centric, compliant access that drives needy patients away from the black market and alleviates risky trips to neighboring medical cannabis-legal states.  

There are very important distinctions between the initiatives, two of them (New Approach Missouri and Find The Cures) are Constitutional Amendment proposals and the third (Missourians for Patient Care) is Statutory. For clarity, we have created this simple chart detailing the primary differences between each initiative:
